Here are a few of the sights we would recommend considering a visit…

1. Cardiff Castle 
Cardiff Castle is situated in the heart of the city. There are various events held here over the year from the Easter Bunny to Santa Claus, Halloween to Summer parties, it’s always good to check out what’s going on. This grand Castle and vast landscape is steeped in Cardiff’s history.
2. Principality Stadium
Formerly known as The Millennium Stadium hosts a variety of sports events and concerts. You can take a tour of this lovely stadium throughout the day when sightseeing in Cardiff
3. St Fagans National Park 
St Fagans National Museum of History, commonly referred to as St Fagans after the village where it is located, is an open-air museum in Cardiff chronicling the historical lifestyle, culture, and architecture of the Welsh people.
4. National Museum Cardiff
National Museum Cardiff is a lovely museum with an art gallery in the centre of Cardiff City. The museum is part of the wider network of National Museums in Wales.
5. Doctor Who Experience 
The Doctor Who Experience is situated in Cardiff Bay. All Doctor Who fans are in for a treat.
6. Pierhead Building 
The Pierhead Building in Cardiff Bay is a Grade I listed building of the National Assembly for Wales. It stands as one of the city of Cardiff’s most familiar landmarks and was built in 1897 as the headquarters for the Bute Dock Company.
7. Techniquest 
The Techniquest is a place for young and old alike. Feed your imagination with science experiments, facts and features. This building is situated in the lovely Cardiff Bay region
8. Cardiff Story Museum
The Cardiff Story Museum is a museum in Cardiff, that exhibits the history of the beautiful city. Entrance to this museum is free.
9.Cardiff Bay
Cardiff Bay is host to a plethora of restaurants and bars along the water. You can visit Mermaid Quay. The Doctor Who Experience, The Story Museum, Boat rides, A comedy club and lots more. Definitely worth a visit.
10. City Hall Cardiff
The City Hall in Cardiff City Centre stands in the heart of Cardiff’s civic centre. This is an area of impressive buildings and gardens.
11. Sophia Gardens
Sophia Gardens is a large public park in Riverside, Cardiff, It’s on the west bank of the River Taff.
12. SSE Swalec Stadium 
International test cricket matches and county cricket matches are held in the SSE SWALEC stadium, the home of Glamorgan County Cricket Club.
13. Cardiff Market
Cardiff Market, which is also known as Cardiff Central Market and as the Market Building. This is a Victorian indoor market in the Castle Quarter of Cardiff city centre.
14. Roath Park
Roath Park together with Roath Park Lake is a classic Victorian Park just a few mins drive outside the city centre and shopping streets.Cardiff has something for everyone. The city and its history make it definitely one to visit. Many have traveled for university, work or leisure and have settled in this beautiful capital city.

This weekend in Cardiff – The Easter Weekend in Cardiff. Cardiff is hosting the Anthony Joshua vs Joseph Parker boxing match, Easter Egg hunts and houses full to the brim with easter eggs. Whatever your plans, there is always something to do in the beautiful city of Cardiff. This is usually the time of year where we see the weather start to improve and Cardiff Bay becomes the popular spot.

As Cardiff is often host to many football and rugby matches in the Millennium Stadium and is a well known stag and hen do location. Lively and bustling is the best way to sum up the atmosphere of this area of Cardiff. It’s easy to get accommodation in Cardiff and if you want to be near the city centre and want a party pad within stumbling distance of a huge range of bars, nightclubs and restaurants in the city.

Recently weather conditions in Cardiff dampened party goers spirits. After experiencing the Beast from the East we now have another weekend of snow promised. This may not affect Cardiff

directly but parts of the valleys and other parts of Wales will definitely be affected.

Since Christmas the weather has caused several problems with heating systems, pipes and boilers all over Cardiff. There were hundreds of thousands of boiler breakdowns throughout the UK and several homes left without heating in these terrible conditions.

Homeless charities all over Cardiff offer amazing services in these cold times. A lot of them urge those living on the streets to make the most of these services available to them ahead of the worsening weather conditions due to hit so many of us. Food, heat and accommodation is available for people, and no-one needs to sleep outside in this weather. Cold Weather Provision has been in operation across the city for a number of months and churches in Cardiff have opened their doors for people to sleep at night in addition to the hostel places available with our organisation and other charities and agencies. There are many ways you can help out by contacting the charities directly.

If you have children there are plenty of activities going on in Cardiff and surrounding areas.

  1. Gower Heritage Centre – There’s all sorts happening at the centre including egg and spoon races, animal handling, puppet shows, quizzes, meet and greets with the Easter Bunny, and Alice and the Mad Hatter.

  2. Big Pit National Coal Museum – Mini miners can take part in the Easter egg trail around the lovely museum. They can learn the history of mining community, while having fun and then swap your completed trail for an Easter treat.

  3. Cardiff Castle – Easter Hunt (Saturday, April 8 – Sunday, April 23)

  4. There are lots of local community Easter egg hunts and activities going on in many areas in and around Cardiff.

  5. Wyevale Garden Centre St Mellons – Breakfast or Tea with the Easter Bunny – 19 Mar 2018 – 15 Apr 2018
